Richard Crandall - Railroad Person of the Year 2019

The Railroad Person of the Year honor is an annual Durand tradition first awarded in 1977.  The honoree is selected by a committee of their peers, all past Railroad Persons of the Year.

Come out on Friday evening, May 17th, at 6p.m. to see Richard received his award at the Honoring Ceremony in the Durand Union Station Ballroom, then watch for him in the

Railroad Days Festival Parade on Saturday, May 18th.

If you know of a railroad employee (past or present) whom you think deserving of this honor, please contact Durand Union Station in 2020 for an application, and perhaps that individual will be chosen as next year's Railroad Person of the Year.
